Padma Shri Dr. (Prof.) M.V Padma Srivastava, currently serving as the Chairperson of Neurology at Paras Health Gurugram, stands as a beacon of innovation and excellence in the field of neurosciences. With a distinguished career spanning over four decades, Dr. Padma Srivastava has continuously pushed the boundaries of stroke management, Alzheimer’s disease research, and neurological care in India. Her pioneering work in establishing hyperacute thrombolysis programs for acute ischemic stroke has revolutionized stroke care delivery systems across the country, making crucial treatments more accessible and cost-effective. As the former Head of Department of Neurology and Chief of the Neurosciences Center at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, she has been instrumental in shaping national guidelines for thrombolysis in stroke and designing stroke registries aimed at improving care and prevention strategies. Dr. Padma Srivastava’s dedication to bridging gaps in stroke care delivery, particularly in underserved regions, has earned her numerous accolades and recognition both nationally and internationally.
